Gallery ProfileIn 1997 Norma Dutton and Peter Gregg launched the Arthouse in their suburban Christchurch home. The gallery soon grew and two years later relocated to more suitable premises in a two storey villa in central Christchurch where they remained for eight and a half years, exhibiting and selling high quality art from contemporary New Zealand artists. In 2007 the Arthouse moved around the corner adjacent to the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetu and in the heart of Christchurch’s cultural precinct. The purpose-built space at the Gallery Apartments, 62 Gloucester Street has an outdoor courtyard for sculpture and beautiful glass window frontage to display artworks. The double height main exhibiting space has housed many a diverse show and is complimented by three other spaces allowing for the display of two exhibitions at once and new pieces from the stock room.The Arthouse team are passionate about quality art and quality service. We are happy to work with clients to find the perfect artwork for home, office, gift etc. Provide us with your art wish list and we will do our upmost to provide.
