Gallery Profile

Norma Dutton and Peter Gregg launched the Arthouse in 1997 from their suburban Christchurch home.. Two years later they moved into the Christchurch CBD area. The business grew and in 2007  the Arthouse moved to a purpose-built space at the Gallery Apartments, 62 Gloucester Street. This was a fabulous space with an outdoor courtyard for sculpture and beautiful glass window frontage to display artworks. 

Unfortunately this all came to an end following a major earthquake on 22 February 2011.  The directors have now  moved the gallery and stock back to their original suburban base.  Artworks are displayed on the website or can be viewed on the current virtual gallery.  The Arthouse is also open by appointment.
