Elizabeth Moyle

Emerging artist Elizabeth Moyle graduated from the CPIT School of Art and Design with a Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in printmaking in 2007. Moyle was the winner of the friends of the Christchurch Art Gallery, Farina Thompson award in 2006 and Will Cumming Memorial Award for overall excellence achieved during study and the Mortlock Mcormack Award in 2007. 

Moyle has predominately participated in group shows across New Zealand as well some public art events. Her work is an investigation into animal sentience and animal/human relationships with particular reference to farm animals and has included large scale woodcut prints, mono prints, drawings, sculptures of miniature bone animal pens and ceramic sheep. 

Moyle spent summer 07/08 learning from and working alongside renowned New Zealand sculptor, Hannah Kidd in Franz Joseph. She spent the majority of 2008 in Europe and now Moyle is working full time in her studio in Christchurch.
