Graham Bennett - Converse

Graham Bennett’s latest exhibition CONVERSE presents the revisiting and reassessment of themes and motifs explored in his work to date. Meaning opposite as well as to communicate, Converse continues the dialogue posed by Bennett between natural and man-made domains. His sculpture considers the arrangement of the natural world, allocation of resources and transferral of knowledge through mapping, measurement and demarcation. Bennett also examines history as a mechanism for measuring and conceptualising the passing of time and enabling communication from the past to the present. Identity and cultural distinctions are shaped through contrast and communication, aspects Bennett seeks to express through his sculpture:

Converse features a major new sculptural installation, PoDs – a grouping of 60 units on monumental scale, measuring up to four metres in height.
