Kate Fitzharris - New Works

Following on from previous work about connections between people, their surroundings and other animals, I wanted to draw out a red thread.  A thread that ties all pieces of work within a period of time, a family of pieces, cut from the same twist of cotton.  Deep red for blood and richness.  A colour equally hard to obtain in ceramics and from dye plants in my back yard.  The thread winds around us, through us, blood lines and other connections often unseen or unrealized , made visible.
