Masterpieces - Binney & Jackson
Don Binney and Paul Jackson offer new Masterpieces at the Arthouse until 17 August. Two well respected painters with a past personal connection have been brought together to showcase some key works in their current practices. Binney, a highly regarded New Zealand artist, displays a variety of collectable works in his renowned and classic style of landscape and bird life. A key piece being Arctic Skua, Whangaparaoa painted on NZ flax fibre. Jackson presents his Self Portrait With the Last Huia, which received great acclaim at the 2004 Archibald Prize in Australia, alongside intriguing and challenging portraits that explore our inner turmoil’s. A must see show for excellence in painting skill.
