Wellington based mixed media artist Caroline McQuarrie employs her time between tutoring in the photography department at Massey University and the utilisation of her own photographs and those from her family archives. With these images McQuarrie deconstructs and reinvents their context through various photographic processes. The incorporation of crochet and embroidery create interconnections and commentary on human experience and relationships. McQuarrie has exhibited in project spaces across New Zealand and in the Hirschfeld Gallery exhibtion 'Etiquette for the Homesick' at City Gallery, Wellington.
