Artist Overview

Linda Holloway

Linda Holloway's paintings reflect her awareness of the place we occupy in the world of ideas.  Observing a correllation between mental and physical space, she expresses ideas in a material form using the interrelation of shapes and patterns to mirror the interaction and communication of mental concepts.  Holloway, who holds a Masters in Painting from Elam School of Art (Auckland), employs both abstract and figurative imagery and utilises surface detail and varying paint reactions as a visual and conceptual layer of her works.
